Focus 1.6 to a 1.8 engine rebuild and turbo convertion
here's a few pics not in any order and not very good as i never remeber to take any lol
Removeing the belt what fun this was


then came the removel off the Lower crank casing (as ford call it)AKA uper sump housing

then came the removel off the Lower crank casing (as ford call it)AKA uper sump housing

then filtted my new oil retun for the turbo
did this by drilling very slowlly threw the Lower crank case i use the hole where the cat used to bolt on to as i wont be needing this anymor i used that, i drilled threw will a very small drill bit gettin biger as i went along it was a long prosess but worth the time spent on it

as you can c i have then fitted a radator copper pipe into the hole heated it and soldered it then welded that then silonconed it in to place.



then painted a few parts with my satin black paint
then colected my gaskets from ford
new sump silicone from ford not the pound shop
new oil breath gasket
then put all back together well botom end however

WELL MADE MY FIRST MISTAKE BUT LUCKY DID COST MY ANY THINK
I GLUED MY SUMP BACK ON BUT THEN REMEMBERED THAT I HAD TO REMOVE IT IT TAKE OUT MY PISTONS

little update
not much happing at the mo as just payed for my respray work will be a very slow progress
anyway sent my head away to be skimed got it bk and now looks like this

also order and reecived my new RS spark plugs
old 1.8 plugs
new RS plugs
so noy much but little bits will do
whent to order my injectors but there £119.00 each so going to carry on looking for some second hand ones i think
New xr2i inlet manifold arive yesterday and have fixed on to the block to c what she looks like also have re wired all the injectors and the fuel pipes
just need to look at the Charcoal canister purge valve, as not to clued up on this shore ill work it out lol

UPDATE
sO I HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR A FEW WEEKS AND WELL NOT REALLY DONE UCJ ON THE ENGINE.
SO I DECIDE TO GET MY ASS IN GEAR.
HERE A FEW PICS TO SHOW WHAT I HAVE ACHIVED OVER LAST WEEK.
ENGINE AND CAR BEFORE.










so as you can see the focus engine is out and going to get cleaned up on sat ready to be painted.
then awite on the arivel of the head gasket and the new cam tensonors
and the head can go back on the old engine
woop woop
getting there nice and slow

the problem now is i need to find some boost hoses i need alot of hoses where the best place to go
